The Saints set up a last four-clash against Sporting Academics with a 2-1 home victory on Tuesday night, having been pushed hard by a side holding league hopes beyond just surviving in the top flight.
Karl Hinds – back in the green of Trinity after spells with Rozel and St Paul’s over the last few seasons – netted his first goal since his return.
St Peter meet Accies for a place in the final tomorrow night at Springfield (7.45 pm), in what will be the latter’s first outing in the competition. The Championship side were handed a bye through the first round, before St John scratched their scheduled quarter-final.
St Paul’s face JTC Jersey Wanderers in the other semi-final at Springfield next Tuesday.
St Paul’s and Wanderers also face each other this Saturday – in a Wheway Cup tie at St Saviour.
