GOLF: Jersey Western GC’s I A McMillan Foursomes Medal, played at La Moye yesterday, was won by Dave Carey (5 handicap) and Kyle Cullinane (17 hp) with a net 70 off a combined handicap of 11.GOLF: Adam Jones won the Royal Jersey’s Vardon Plate over the Grouville links on Saturday with a gross 75, net 69.

David Kaye was second on a countback with a gross 76, net 70 from Stuart Crossan (73, 70).GOLF: Ray Pearce won the Demi GS’s Captain and Secretary’s Rose Bowl at St Clement’s on Saturday, gaining 38 points off a 14 handicap, to win by six points from Roger De Sousa.GOLF: St Clement GC’s November Monthly Medal was won by David Seymour yesterday, with a net 54 off 15 handicap.

Development Division: JLHC 2nds 1, JHC Juniors 4.MOTORCYCLES: UK rider Danny Thorpe won the Jersey Motor Cycle and Light Car Club’s annual Two Day trial for the fifth consecutive time yesterday.

Thorpe has now won the title six times, but much of the praise was reserved for veteran Jersey rider Paul Mollet who came out of a three-year retirement to finish sixth.VOLLEYBALL: Results from yesterday’s matches: Men’s Division: Pentagon RHT beat Crills Sandkickers 3-0; Bank of Scotland Astros beat Highlands PGB 3-0; Astros I beat Island Ladies 3-0.

Tries for the Jersey side came from John Creavy, Darren Toudic, Carlton Moody and Andy Fage.

Creavy also scored with a penalty and three conversions.

SHOOTING: Andy Johnson, with 48 ex 50, won the A Class and High Gun in the Crabbé Clay Pigeon Club’s 50-bird sporting competition at Crabbé yesterday.

Paul Lister won Class B with 42 ex 50 and Clive Green the C class with 27 ex 50.

BADMINTON: 2003 Jersey Open – Men: James Allenson (Yorks) beat Darren Le Tissier (Gsy) 15-2, 15-7.

Ladies: Betty Blair (Devon) beat Kim Ashton (Jsy) 11-3, 11-1.

Ladies Doubles: won by Kelly Toft (Surrey) and Alison Ross (Mddx); runners-up Betty Blair and Karen Major (Devon).

Mixed: Tim Willis and Betty Blair (Devon) beat Mark Trebble and Karen Major (Devon) 15-3, 8-15, 15-12.
