The surprise result of the vote of the society’s membership was a conclusive two-to-one margin against asking the States to repeal laws against the import of cattle and genetic material.The two vice-presidents had both been very much in favour of importing semen as a way forward for the Island herd, and both expressed dismay that the vote went against this option.
