SHOOTING:High gun in the Crabbé Clay Pigeon Club’s Boxing Day shoot was Jon de la Haye with a score of 47 ex 50.

A class winner was Richard Le Brun with 43 ex 50 and there was a shoot-off for second and third places between Dave Le Rendu and Bill Staite, with Le Rendu finishing second and Staite third.

Class B winner was Ross Boydens with 40 ex 50; Mary Weatherall was second with 38 ex 50 and Tony Sargent third, 33 ex 50.

Jack Hanby won class C with 38 ex 50, Andy Barnes was second with 31 and Paul Cragg third with 29.

Side by side winner was Peter Paxton, 43 ex 50; Mike Barnes snr won the veteran class, 39 ex 50, after beating Albert Able on countback; Sheila Davy won the ladies class with 39 ex 50 and junior winner was James Angus, 32 ex 50.

In yesterday’s shoot, Ashley Le Sech was High Gun and winner of Class A with 46 ex 50, with Mark Andrews second on 45 and Jon de la Haye third on 42.

Class B was won by Laura Deards with 37 ex 50 and Class C by Paul Cragg with 39.SAILING: Winner of the St Helier Yacht Club’s Festive Punch and Pie race yesterday was Peter Hanning’s Cambina with Arthur Manning’s Knight Star second and Steve Pearl’s Contango third.GOLF: Steve Reynolds won the Demi Golf Society’s Le Bourg Shield competition played on Saturday in the Eclectic format at St Clement’s GC.He recorded a nett 27 off an 8 handicap.

Second was Richard Cornick, nett 28 off a 7 handicap, third was Gary Parsons, 29 nett, handicap 6.
