If politicians agree on 16 September to the deal struck with Les Pas Holdings, the company will be able to build at least 100 three-bedroom apartments with underground parking that should sell for at least £35 million on the site, which overlooks the new marina. As part of the out-of-court settlement, it has been agreed that public money should also pay for soil on the site to be excavated and removed to allow an underground car park to be constructed.

And, in effect, Les Pas would already have received outline planning permission for the residential development although they will still have to go through the normal planning process for the detail of the scheme to be approved. The details of the deal to be put before States Members on 16 September were made public today.
