ARE you keen to pursue a career in digital technology with a degree from one of the UK’s top universities, but don’t want to run up thousands of pounds of student debt?

Want to work for a world-renowned professional services firm, in its growing advisory team, while staying close to your friends and family here in the Channel Islands?

If you want to earn, learn and fulfil your potential, PwC’s new Digital Degree Apprenticeship could be the perfect opportunity for you to fast-track your career.

Here at PwC, we’re excited to be collaborating with the University of Exeter and the Government of Jersey to offer our new Digital Degree Apprenticeship.

For people in Jersey looking to gain a highly rated academic qualification and on-the-job experience, this is the best of both worlds. And you’ll get paid a competitive salary from the very start.

You would be a full-time employee of PwC’s advisory team, working with clients to transform the way they operate and guide them on how to release their innovative potential.

At the same time, you would be working towards a four-year BSc (Hons) degree in Digital and Technology Solutions at the prestigious University of Exeter, which is renowned for delivering cutting-edge education and learning techniques.

From the outset, you’ll be on our payroll and, together with the Government of Jersey, we will also pay your tuition fees so you will not be saddled with debt.

Opportunities to specialise

You will spend the equivalent of a day a week studying remotely for your degree, plus you’ll benefit from a residential week each term on campus at Exeter University.

After the second year, you will have the opportunity to select a specialist pathway for your third and fourth years in one of the following key areas: software engineering, data analysis, IT business analysis, IT consultancy or cyber security.

Honing your skills

During the other four days, you will enjoy working with, and learning from, specialists in our advisory team.

As well as market and industry experience, our blended learning programme includes opportunities to gain professional certifications and develop your soft skills in areas such as engagement, leadership and self-awareness.

To help you make the most of the opportunity, you’ll have the support of a dedicated mentor. You will also be assigned a buddy, who will help you out from the start, whether that be to guide you in managing your time appropriately or helping you to get involved in our sports and social activities. Throughout, you will, of course, be fully supported in preparing for exams.

What you need

PwC’s Digital Degree Apprenticeship is open to school-leavers and those who are already working but who are enthusiastic about seriously expanding their digital skills and developing their careers in technology and business.

This programme is only applicable to residents of the Channel Islands. There are no specific A-level subjects or equivalent qualifications needed for entry and we are open to accepting applications before your exams. As a guideline, we would normally require a minimum of 120 UCAS points.

Good for us, good for our community
