THERE is something for everyone at this year’s Barclays Jersey Boat Show, taking place from Saturday 29 April to Monday 1 May.

The Boat Show remains the largest free event in the Channel Islands, meaning it’s the perfect excuse to get together, catch up with family and friends, sit back, relax and soak up the atmosphere

If you’ve been to the Boat Show before, you might notice a few changes this year.

As always, you can expect to be wowed by the amazing yachts and watercraft on display in the marina or enjoy strolling around the range of stalls showcasing the latest maritime gadgets and lifestyle products and services. If you like being active on the water, wander down Albert Pier and check out the stalls or watch the displays and demonstrations in Geomarine’s Outdoor & Active Zone. You can also go out on the water with trips organised by our exhibiting partners Le Mourier and Jersey Duchess.

And relax…

For a more relaxed time, Weighbridge Place is home to our new entertainment village. If music is your thing, enjoy the finest local talent in our packed entertainment programme on the Solent Stevedores Main Stage. We also cater for families, with the popular Kids’ Zone, which this year has moved to Weighbridge Place. You can also sample a great selection of food and drink stalls.

Graze…

You won’t go hungry as your tastebuds will be in for a treat with a wide choice of delicious food and drink options throughout the arena. New for 2023, we’ve created a catering village on New North Quay, which includes The North Quay Bar, featuring delicious seafood and cocktails.

Royal Navy…

The New North Quay Marine Exhibitor area of the show has been extended this year, so there is more room for new exhibition stands, which will link the show with the new Military Village by the Steam Clock.

The Royal Navy has played an integral role in the Barclays Jersey Boat Show since the event was first launched in 2008. This year, they are bringing several vessels on the water and a variety of stalls to educate and entertain, including the Royal Navy Mobile Outreach Vehicle and Royal Marine Commando Recruit Troop with their Weapons Dome and the Beaverfit gym.

A treat this year

One of the highlights of the year will no doubt be climbing on board the Götheborg of Sweden, the world’s largest ocean-going wooden sailing ship, which will be visiting Jersey for the first time.

Over the coming articles, you can find out more information on many of the activities taking place during the show. For all the latest updates and timings, please visit our website jerseyboatshow.com, as well as following us on our social-media channels.

Thank you

Putting on a show of this size and nature requires an enormous amount of effort and I would like to thank everyone involved in making it the success it is. It promises to be another fantastic year, but don’t just take my word for it. Whether you’re looking for something new to take out on the water, or just want to enjoy the atmosphere, come along and spend the day at the Barclays Jersey Boat Show.
