A pensioner was thrown from the bonnet of a vehicle he tried to stop after it collided with his car.
The 77-year-old saw a silver Kia Venga plough into the back of his Chevrolet Kalos which was parked in a disabled space outside his home in Gorton, Greater Manchester.
He went outside to ask the driver to stop but instead the motorist reversed into a second parked car in Chatsworth Road and then lifted him onto the bonnet as he drove forward at speed.
The victim was taken to hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
Police have released CCTV footage of the incident which took place shortly after 4.10pm on Saturday March 10 and are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
“He showed no regard for the safety of the victim who had simply asked the man to stop after hitting his car.
“Not only did the driver fail to stop after a collision but he seriously endangered the life of a man with his reckless actions.
“If you have any information that could assist our investigation, please get in touch so we can find the man responsible.”
