Halloween bride made from 333 bars of Cadbury’s chocolate

Cadbury World visitors are in for a shock when they set eyes on a new ghostly skeleton bride, crafted from the equivalent of 333 bars of chocolate.

The figure is the work of chocolatiers Dawn Jenks and Donna Oluban and took almost two days to shape, using 15kg of chocolate.

The Birmingham attraction’s newest resident, made from white chocolate and glitter, will be on general display until November 20.

“We’ve created her using a bowl of chocolate and two jugs of chocolate and another jug to make the bones for the arms.

“We’ve got the skull that we recycled from a previous project, then some intricate piping for the hair.

“I’ve got very cold hands, so we just stuck them (the ruffles) on and they stayed where they are.

“She’s got intricately carved little bony feet and some nice little flowers that she’s holding.

The most technically difficult part was the ruffles “as you’ve only got a short amount of time to get them on before they melt”.

She added that visitors had been “peeking through the window of the workshop” to catch an early glimpse of the spooky bride – who staff have nicknamed Barbara.
