The Suzuki Vitara, the firm’s most popular model in the UK, is set for a refresh later this year with the new version of the car featuring a modified appearance, new engine line-up and more equipment as standard.
Suzuki claims that the current generation of the SUV has been a huge success for the Japanese manufacturer since its launch in 2015, and it’s hoping the update will keep the momentum going.

The former is available on entry-level SZ4 and SZ-T trims and delivers 109bhp, sent to the front wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox. Optionally, SZ-T variants can have Suzuki’s Allgrip four-wheel-drive system. As for range-topping SZ5 models, those will boast the 138bhp, 1.4-litre unit.
Looks-wise, two new colours are coming — although full details of these have yet to be confirmed. New alloy wheel designs will also be available, while a redesigned front grille and rear bumper will bring a fresh aesthetic to the Vitara.
Inside, soft-touch materials have been introduced while the instrument cluster boasts a new design along with a full-colour information display.

There’s no word yet on either pricing or expected delivery dates for the 2019 Suzuki Vitara, but expect to hear more news soon.
