McLaughlin shot a level-par 64 while his team-mates also produced the goods to place the Jersey quartet at the top of the team event, tied with Guernsey.Richard Alker and Myles Jones both carded 67s to give the Jersey a team total of 198 while Richard Ramskill came home with a 68.The ladies didn’t fare so well with Elaine Pushman heading the Caesarean charge in ninth place after a 77 – five shots adrift of the lead.Diane Carter is one place behind following her round of 78 while Gloria Paradiso (80) is 13th and Yvonne Rodger (81) is equal 16th.The team are in fourth place behind Aland, Guernsey and Isle of Wight on a score of 235.
