Five Jersey residents fined £500 for fracas at Guernsey pub

Oliver Nightingale, who started the incident by abusing South Africans in the bar during a rugby match on television, admitted disorderly behaviour, assaulting a police officer and possession of a small amount of cannabis, which he claimed he found in a pub.In the Magistrate’s Court yesterday the accused (20), of Clos de l’Arsenal, St Mary, was fined £500 for disorderly conduct, 14 days’ youth detention, suspended for two years, for the assault, and £300 for possessing the drugs.Luke Aubert (19) of Rue de Cache, St Brelade, was fined £500 for resisting police.Andrew Gent (22), of Petite Route des Mielles, St Brelade, admitted behaving in a disorderly manner.
