From a field of 1,300 world-class internationals the Jerseyman took full advantage of an early detail yesterday to post a superb 50 ex 50 with eight V-bulls.
Only five other shooters matched that score and there will be a six-way tie shoot tomorrow night.Close behind was another top Jersey shooter, Ian Jones, who fired a magnificent 50 with seven V-bulls while Chris Cotillard also placed on the prize list with 50 and five.Mallett’s exploits mean he is now placed 11th overall in both the World Championships and prestigious Grand Aggregate.Full report in today’s JEP, on sale at 1.15 pm.
