All the scheduled Division I games on Saturday were washed out and as a result all teams take ten points.

Champions Sporting Club did make a start in their game, against Old Codgers at FB1, they played 30 overs and openers Matt Hague and Steve Carlyon had both made unbeaten centuries before the match was abandoned because of rain.LT JJCA yesterday defeated Old Victorian’s Reserves by 46 runs to move into second place and above the team they beat in Division II.Danny Blasco top-scored for the Taverners with 65 before he was run out.

Teenager Blasco held the innings together with a solid contribution, including six boundaries, to help his team to a 37-over total of 149.Ian Ritchie, Wil Gorman, Nigel Johnson and Tom Lee all took two wickets for the OVs, and in their reply, with 43 overs to reach their target, OVs were all out for 103 in 34.2 overs.Kevin Crowell grabbed four wickets for JJCA while Dominic Glennon produced the best figures of the match, three wickets for 14 runs in nine overs – one a maiden.

Martin Higgins also had an impressive 8.2 overs, two maidens, two wickets for 11 runs.
