Assistant Harbourmaster Paul Mimmack this morning confirmed that Roy Spencer (46) and Terry Rennell (55) purchased the 15-ft yellow and white pleasure boat, Q IV, two weeks earlier and registered it with the Harbour office last week.It is not known what caused their boat to sink on Sunday and a joint police and harbours authorities investigation is underway.Mr Mimmack said the Harbourmaster Howard Le Cornu was in discussions with police officers today.
He also revealed that the previous owners of the Q IV had been contacted.
