Injuries force Constable of Grouville to stand down

Crown Advocate Julian Gollop notified the Royal Court this morning and the date of the election was set for 17 September.Deputy Bailiff Michael Birt said he that accepted, and fully understood, the reason for the resignation.

He said the Royal Court would be paying tribute to Mr Amy, as a long-serving Constable and chairman of the Constables’ Committee, on another occasion.Mr Amy tendered his resignation to the Attorney General, William Bailhache, on 30 July.
