Union in protest over Les Pas deal

The Transport and General Workers Union has urged all of its 4,500 members to attend tomorrow night’s public meeting at the Town Hall organised by former Senator Dick Shenton to oppose the deal.Meanwhile, Mr Shenton reveals in an advertisement in tonight’s JEP that the ownership of the ancient title of the Fief de la Fosse – on which the Les Pas legal claim is based – was purchased by Advocate Richard Falle for £200 and he later gifted it to the company. And Senator Stuart Syvret is asking States Members to support the idea of the planned debate of 16 September being held ‘in committee’ in order to remove restrictions on how many times Members would be able to speak and ask questions.
