GOLF: Winner of the Demi Golf Society Monthly medal competition was Roger de Sousa with a gross 74, nett 64, off a ten handicap.

Richard Cornick was second, 80 gross, 64 nett, h’cap 16 and Jorge Moniz third, gross 81, nett 66, h’cap15.SURFING: The winning team in the Liam Goode Memorial tag -team competition were Andy Cummins, Morne Aspling (SA), Liam McFarling and Garrett Harvey (SA).

The surfers’ surfer was Morgan Roscouet.GOLF: Les Mielles GC beat L’Ancresse GC of Guernsey in the 20-a-side match played at Les Mielles on Saturday by eight and a half points to one and a half.SHOOTING: Winner of class A and high gun at the Crabbé Clay Pigeon Club’s 50 bird sporting competition yesterday was John de la Haye with 44 ex 50.

Winner of class B was Brian Bourne with 37 ex 50 and Lance Euston won class C with 32 ex 50.PETANQUE: Rosie Boléat won the Ladies singles competition at the Carrefour Pétanque club yesterday with six wins + 49 shots.

Maureen Hutchings was second, three wins + 13 and Daphne Thérin third, three wins – 5.

Men’s singles winner was Rob Birch with ten wins + 48; second was Niall Fennessy, nine wins + 45 and Tim Bechelet was third with nine wins + 41.GOLF: Winners of the La Moye GC Abbey Garage Am-Am competition was the team of Stephen Tanner, Graham Bisson and Graham Picot with 48 points.

Simon Moloney won the tankard for best scratch.BOWLS: St Brelade BC’s club women’s singles champion is Gean O’Neil who beat Karina Horman 21-11 while Con O’Callaghen beat Dickie Allen 21-15 in the men’s final.

In the Beans v Non-Beans annual fixture for the Nimmo Shield the Beans won for the tenth succesive year with a score of 5-3, 185 shots to 145.GOLF: The winner of the Wheatlands Volvo Laurent Perrier competition held on Saturday was Stella Lambotte with 44 points.

Nigel Gillard was second with 40 pts and Callum Marsh was third, also with 40 pts.

BOWLS: Sun Bowls Club’s finals days were held at the weekend with Ron Romeril beating Eddie Langlois 21-17 to take the men’s singles title while Elizabeth Cole beat Myrtle de la Haye in the ladies’ competition 21-9.

The junior championship title was retained by Greg Davis who beat Malcolm de Sousa 21-15.GOLF: Royal Jersey GC’s Theatre Cup competition on Saturday was won by Guy Gothard with a gross 69, nett 64 off a 5 handicap.

Second was Eric Leverington with a gross 84, nett 68 off a 16 h’cap and Christy McLaughlin was third with a gross 70, nett 68 off a 2 h’cap.SHOOTING: Winner of the JRA Kolapore competition after stage two was held at Les Landes yesterday was Colin Mallett with a combined total of 206.24.

Second was Andrew Le Cheminant with 206.23 and third Peter Stock with 205.24.

Junior Kolapore winner was Robert Jelley.POOL: The Jersey men’s champion is Aaron Canavan who beat Gary Cooke 7-5 in the championship match on Saturday while the ladies title holder is Linda Maider who beat Laura Gicquel 4-2.

Junior champ is Carl Dix after he beat Christian Moriarty 5-3 and the doubles title went to Chris Alexander and Aaron Canavan who beat Lee Ruderham and Ady Bougourd 5-4.

The team event was won by Mr B’s.TENNIS: The Caesarean men’s national club league side got within two points of the final in the grand finals of the league, in Bournemouth at the weekend.

They eventually lost 2-1 in a tie-break shoot out after eight and a half hours of competition.
