In an almost unprecedented co-operative effort across seven States departments and other groups, what is considered to be a ground-breaking document has been produced for States and public consultation, ahead of a public meeting tomorrow.People above working age currently make up 16 per cent of the total Island population – a figure due to rise to around 30 per cent by the year 2031.As part of the ageing strategy, a recommendation has been made that a review be carried out of the extent of age discrimination in the Island.
