Although security will be tight at the Jersey show, organisers say they will not be intimidated.
Event organiser Mike Higgins said: ‘The objective of terrorism is to stop people going about their normal way of life, but we will not be intimidated.’The message is all the more poignant this year with many aircraft and crews having been involved on active duty in the war against terrorism.However, bad weather was today causing a late hitch to the plans for the display, which was being hastily rescheduled with a later start time and a curtailed programme.
The display in Guernsey was this morning severely affected by the weather, with many aircraft cancelled.
