Health and Social Services Committee president Senator Stuart Syvret says that the amendments lodged by the Constable of St Helier, Simon Crowcroft, to the Resource Plan – which is due to be debated by the States on Wednesday – represent an ‘assault on the most vulnerable members of our community’.He says that the plans to include the Belle Vue project and the radiology extension in the Resource Plan have been approved by the Policy and Resources Committee and have gone through the usual decision conferencing process.Senator Syvret said that the works had the support of his committee and P&R, and that Mr Crowcroft was trying to take populist action ahead of his re-election bid as Constable of St Helier.
