From Monday, for the first time, commuters will be able to buy a monthly bus pass, in addition to the weekly pass currently available.

There will also be changes to routes 19, 15, and 22, which have the approval of the Environment and Public Services Committee.And operators Connex are giving their service a more community-friendly image, with the new ‘mybus’ logo – designed by Connex in France – featured on each vehicle.Connex, which secured a seven-year contract with Public Services from last September, unveiled their plans yesterday at a lunchtime launch at the Jersey Museum, attended by politicians, staff from Public Services, bus drivers and tourism representatives.The three changes are as follows:Route 19, from the Weighbridge to La Pouquelaye and Chestnut Lea, will go via Elizabeth Harbour, enabling children from the Waterfront properties to use the bus to school at La Pouquelaye.Route 15 to the Airport will be extended to link St Ouen’s Parish Hall and Les Quennevais shopping precinct.Route 22 is being reintroduced twice a day at peak times, to connect with buses travelling west from St Helier.Copies of the winter timetable are available from the Connex information office at the Weighbridge, and Morier House library.
