Two terraced properties in Croydon Mews, First Tower, were left with huge cracks in the wall when the Ford Galaxy hit a parked car before slamming into the wall.The 41-year-old female driver walked away from the crash unhurt at around 6.45 pm last night.One resident described how she ran for her life as the car hurtled towards her, missing her by a matter of feet.

Others said they felt shock waves from the impact run through their houses in the terrace.Danielle Mason (36), who lives in the Mews, had just returned from a run when she heard a screech.’I saw the car hurtling towards me at what seemed like 90 miles an hour,’ she said.

The driver of the Galaxy lost control and the car turned 90 degrees into Croydon Mews, where it hit a red Ford Fiesta before continuing into the wall of the house.He said that a decision would be made whether action would be taken against the parties involved when the investigation was finished.
