The States police have confirmed they were aware the filming was taking place in the Island and say they were satisfied there ‘was no danger to anyone involved’.Screened at 9 pm on Channel 4, the live footage came from Francheville Farm, Route de la Francheville, Grouville.This morning officials at Channel 4 were being urged by the States Police to issue a formal statement resassuring members of the Jersey public.It was said the stunt was to be filmed in a secret location but there were rumours on the magician’s website that it could happen in either Jersey, Guernsey or the Isle of Man to escape the UK’s gun laws.The ambulance service were on site during the stunt and had one vehicle and two paramedics were present throughout.

Owner of the farm Ian Mitchell would only say this morning: ‘I can confirm that the live part of the show took place here.’Supt John Pearson said: ‘We are aware of how this television programme was made and in light of that we are happy that no offence was committed involving firearms in Jersey.’We are urging Channel 4 to make a press statement that will reassure the public in Jersey.’
