In the dayboat class, Mike Harrison’s Jigsaw shared honours with Malcolm Annan’s Jamesina and Don Thompson’s Vela Bianca won the sport-catamaran class after three races from David Carter’ Fly-Bi.

SHOOTING: Ken Huish retained the Delanoe Cup in Saturday’s Modern and Military Arms Association M1 .30 carbine match, beating 14 other competitors with a total of 82 points, just three points ahead of Billy Goode.SWIMMING: Guernsey beat Jersey in the swimming inter-insular by a narrow margin of just four points and retained the Governor’s Cup.SHOOTING: Winner of class A in the Jersey Clay Target shooting association’s Alan Baker Memorial Shoote John de la Haye with a score of 68 ex 75 +10 after a tie-shoot with Ashley Le Sech, who scored 68 ex 75 +5.

B class winner was Laura Deards with 63 ex 75 and Martyn Shales won the C class with 59 ex 75.

DIVING: JSC diver Anthony Hibbs won a bronze medal in the Hampshire County age-group diving championships this weekend in the 14 to 15 boys category, with a total of 116.05 points.

In the girls 12 and under 1 metre category 11-year-old Elianne Riant finished seventh in her first competition off-Island and the Le Cornu brothers Christopher (11) and Steven (10) finished fifth and ninth respectively in their 12 and under boys event.BOWLS: Alan Shaw, Ron Romeril, Eileen Baudains and Scott Ruderham were the winners in the President’s Day match held at Grainville indoor bowling centre on Saturday.MOTORSPORT: Results of the Jersey Classic and Modern trials club trial held yesterday were: A route, Mac du Feu; B route, Graham du Feu; C route, Nigel Pallot; Pre 65, Arshie du Feu; Twin shock, John Noel; Junior A, Adam Le Cheminant; Junior B, James Carrel; Junior C, Matthew White.GOLF: John Collins won the La Moye Golf Club’s Prawn Salver comptition held on Saturday with a score of 5 off his 14 handicap.
