The ex-Rozel Rovers manager, who had a successful reign at Le Couvent several years ago, has taken over from Steve Coutanche who relinquished the position several weeks ago.Le Cornu has been caretaker boss for St Peter’s last three matches and he now takes over officially with his first match against Jersey Scottish on Saturday week.St Peter president Tom du Feu said: ‘The Club is delighted Keith has accepted the position and we wish him every success.

He will be supported by coaches Dave Walsh and Duncan Prince senior and after a busy week last week he now has to wait nearly two weeks for his next game.’The players all respect him and the work he did last week was clearly shown in the organisation and improvement from the players in their last game.’Keith is experienced following his time at Rozel and everyone at the Club believes he is a first-class ambassador to the game.’Le Cornu will be keen to arrest St Peter’s slide towards the bottom of the Flybe Combination Division I table.

The first team won their first two games of the season in the Charity Cup against Magpies and Rozel Rovers but their last eight matches have resulted in just one victory and seven defeats.
