The attack occurred at around 2 am when the man was punched twice in the face by an unknown assailant who apparently had vaulted both barriers from the other side of the roadway to reach him.The assailant is described as having a possible Scottish accent, in his mid to late 20s, 5ft 10 in with cropped hair and wearing a red T-shirt.
