A fine game at Le Couvent resulted in four goals for Island under-18 striker Brett Pitman and one for defender John Felton.Rozel, who gave a fine account of themselves, got back to 3-3 only for St Paul’s to finish stronger to run out victors.Pitman nodded home Felton’s free kick to give the Saints the lead.

Jamie Savory produced a good finish to level the scores after he latched onto a pass through St Paul’s defence.Savory then shot the Rovers into a half-time lead before Felton made it 2-2 with a header from Keiran Norman’s corner kick.Pitman’s close range effort restored St Paul’s one-goal advantage only for Rozel to hit back again when Adam Speight drove home a low shot after a good run through the middle.St Paul’s then took control with Pitman adding a further brace to complete his four-goal haul and the Saints’ victory.St Peter scored their first goals of the season, both from Aaron Maynard, only to lose 4-2 at home to Sporting Academics.

For the winners Daniel Irwin hit a hat-trick and Ben Paddington a single.Andrew Le Monnier also scored a hat-trick, in St Clement’s 4-2 win against the home team at St Ouen.

Stuart Gaines was also on the mark for the winners, who moved into second place three points behind St Brelade – who were without a game.

Craig Beeley notched both St Ouen’s goals.Matt Rawlings (two), Leon Nightingale, Robbie Pike, Jamie McDonald and Matthew Lyttle were on target in Grouville’s 6-1 win at St Martin.

Sean Ganly replied.There were some convincing wins in under-12 White Group matches, St Brelade 9-0 against St Peter and Grouville hitting seven without reply against St Clement.Jersey Wanderers A and St Paul’s A both scored six goals in Red Group wins, Wanderers conceding a goal to Rozel’s Joe Parkinson while First Tower failed to score against St Paul’s.Carl Hines (two), Steven de Ste Croix (two), Ben Sharples (two), Michael Ahier, Joe Maize and Jason Miller netted for St Brelade and Tom O’Toole (two), Alex Chapman (two), Michael Harvey, Ben Griffin and goalkeeper Christian Foley one each for Grouville.
