He faces a vote of no confidence at the next sitting in two weeks.Apart from the members of the public who jeered him as he entered the States Chamber, more than 50 filled the public gallery inside to hear him answer questions on the Emeraude debt and the seizing of the Solidor 5.

They were accompanied in the gallery by two uniformed police officers.Also in the Chamber was former Harbours president Derek Maltwood, who heard Senator Norman say that it was first realised three years ago that Emeraude were financially vulnerable.Senator Ted Vibert lodged a vote of no confidence in the Harbours Committee today and asked the first of three sets of questions.Supplementary questions came from all sides of the House, with Senator Mike Vibert and Deputies Phil Rondel, Roy Le Hérissier and Jerry Dorey all questioning Senator Norman on the Emeraude issue.l Ferry protest: Page 2.
