The cuts affect support staff in a range of functions who will be offered redeployment ‘where possible’, or redundancy packages.One member of staff, who wished to remain anonymous, phoned the JEP moments after being made redundant.
She said: ‘We were absolutely gobsmacked.
We knew that some changes were going to be made but we did not expect this – the treatment of staff is appalling.’The cuts have been in various places and some people who are pregnant and on maternity leave have been sacked as well.’The financial services firm says a further 20 jobs are ‘at risk of redundancy’.
However, it claims 15 new roles will be created as a result of changes to business processes.
