Smith’s bottling plant shuts

Ten jobs will go at Smith’s Longueville base but it is hoped that affected staff will be redeployed in other parts of the company’s parent group, CI Traders, whose stable includes Le Riche’s Stores, Ann Street Pubs and Victor Hugo Wines.Despite the closure of the bottling plant, AE Smith will continue to represent Pepsi, Britvic and AG Barr, who make Irn-Bru.
