The Dublin-based company, Bedell Cristin Trust Ireland, specialises in the provision of corporate administration services to Irish-based special purpose vehicles, with particular focus on the international securitisation market.

The past five years have been extremely busy for the European securitisation market and the demand for SPVs based in premier finance centres has grown with it,’ said Richard Gerwat, director of Bedell Cristin Trust.

Certain transaction requirements demand SPVs located within an EU jurisdiction benefiting from a network of double tax treaty legislation.

Ireland can provide that within an excellent legal, fiscal and regulatory environment.

We have been able to arrange provision of this service in the past but not directly under the Bedell Cristin Trust banner.

The growth of this sector of administration within Bedell Cristin Trust and maturity of the Jersey marketplace has enabled us to build a significant capability and platform from which to develop our strategy for growth of our business.

We are delighted to announce the launch of Bedell Cristin Trust Ireland which responds to client demands for our corporate administration services outside of Jersey.

Bedell Cristin Trust is wholly owned by Jersey law firm Bedell Cristin.

An institutional division within the company was set up in 1994 to focus on SPV administration and it now provides management, administration and accounting services to many SPVs in the securitisation market.

In September Bedell Cristin Trust bought a portfolio of SPVs and employee compensation schemes from RBSI in Jersey.
