Harbours vote in the balance

By late morning, votes for and against the committee appeared almost neck and neck.

Speakers yesterday and this morning have mostly conceded that errors may have been made by the committee in seizing the Solidor V and allowing Condor to operate on the route.

But a slim majority have said they would vote against the motion of no confidence.States Members have been debating Senator Ted Vibert’s proposition of no confidence since 2.30 pm yesterday, with strong speeches on both sides.Senator Vibert was first to speak, and he condemned the committee in strong terms.

The Emeraude saga, he said, was one of dishonour and immorality.
