Improve or else, Harbours told

Senator Philip Ozouf said that if operations at the harbours and the Airport were not made more efficient by May, he would vote against the committee if another motion of no confidence was bought to the States. His comments have not impressed Harbours president Senator Len Norman, who said he was too busy with the business of running the Island’s ports to be worried about ‘political points-scoring’.Senator Ozouf, who chaired the Airport Task Force, gave a strong speech against the committee during the no-confidence debate, but voted to support them.

In the States he criticised several of Harbours’ policies and decisions, including the lack of a fuel farm lease, the management of the Airport and the move towards trust port status.
