They were up to everything from waxing their hands down at the pub to pinning the names of 38 hospital consultants to pictures of their rear ends in a competition called Bot Idol.All this was being done in aid of BBC Children in Need which started in 1980 and has raised more than £325 million over the years.Every penny of the money collected will go towards improving the lives of British children who have experienced problems or hardships, including abuse, serious illness and poverty.
