Football:Tower battle back to shatter Saints’ title ambitions

Tom Cupit (two), Tom Gibbs, Aaron Crowe, Alex Gee and Adam Lester netted for Tower and Stephen Phelan and Declan Sowney for the Saints.St Brelade retained the Division II title following a 5-3 home win against Sporting Academics.

Jordon McBride and Phil Cuming bagged doubles and Aaron Quaeck a single for the champions while there were singles for the Accies from Joe McKenna, Chris Ward and Sam Furness.Goals from Fabio de Jesus and Alberto Miranda secured St Clement a 2-1 win at St Ouen.

Callum Dixon replied.Jersey Wanderers won their under-12 Blue Group match 5-1 against Jersey Scottish at Les Quennevais.

For the winners Ben Rowe hit a hat-trick and Jamie Sewery a single.

Wanderers’ other goal was an own goal with Daniel Kearns replying for the Scots.
