He has lodged an amendment to the proposals which, if supported by the House, would ensure that reference to ‘serving’ the Queen would be included even if bearing true allegiance was removed.In his report, Deputy Hill said he was shocked to learn that the Home Affairs Committee were proposing to introduce a new oath with reference to the Queen being deleted.
