A survey of the Jersey labour market in June showed that the public sector workforce had grown by 3.1 per cent – or around 190 posts – compared to last year, despite a 0.9 per cent drop in the number of people employed in the private sector.There are now 6,400 people working for the States, plus another 1,200 employed by trading committees.
