States to spend £300,000 a year on Hansard recordings

The States yesterday agreed by 28 votes to 18 to introduce an official recording and transcript, at a cost of around £300,000 per year.

Members supported the proposals by the Privileges and Procedures Committee, after hearing that the transcripts would be an essential part of the scrutiny arrangements.Full report in today’s JEP, on sale at 1.15 pm.
