Grandchildren of Albert Bedane, posthumously given Israel’s highest Holocaust honour, travelled to Jersey to watch the Bailiff, Sir Philip Bailhache, unveil the award, which they have given on permanent loan to the Jersey Heritage Trust.Duncan Macpherson and Susan Grace, who came from England and Canada respectively, were clearly moved by the ceremony held in the Occupation Tapestry Gallery.During the ceremony, the Bailiff voiced his support for the States’ decision to set up a Jersey Community Relations Trust.
