The business pressure group have strongly criticised the proposed scheme, and say it has sparked one of the biggest ever responses from their 600 members, and that they are concerned there is not enough demand to fill the 11 office blocks and that the development will come at the expense of the rest of the town.

But Environment Minister Freddie Cohen has defended the scheme. He says it represents a good deal for the Island in terms of the £75m expected revenue and will provide ‘a chance to recover from the Waterfront disasters of the past’.
