Fourteen boys and 14 girls have been preparing for the Championships since early October with weekly sessions held indoors at the Langford Sports Centre at Mont Millais.
Coach Grant Stenhouse, who will be assisted by Christine Dias, Nigel Smith, David Lawson and Karen Le Mott?e, said: ‘We are delighted to be taking two full teams this year as last time we did not have a sufficient number of boys.
‘Half of the girls went last time too so with good experience and being a year older they are all hoping to do well.
‘Two years ago Jersey’s girls placed second overall while several years ago they returned as winners.
‘Everyone is excited and nervous about the trip, but more importantly it’s about taking part and having fun.
If everyone does their best then we can ask no more.’
