BAR BILLIARDS – England victory: The Jersey Bar Billiards teams both lost to England in their international matches on Saturday – the ladies’ team lost 14-1 and the men’s 23-7.

ATHLETICS – Jersey win: Jersey won 16 individual and team events, compared to Guernsey’s seven, at the State Street cross country inter insular at the Sand Dunes in St Brelade on Saturday.

MOTOR SPORT – Rogan lifts Cup: Lee Rogan finished just one point clear of Adam Le Cheminant to win the Bouchet Cup in the Jersey Motor Cycle and Light Car Club La Chasse motorcycle trial yesterday.

VOLLEYBALL – Astros fire: In the Insurance Corporation Men’s JVA League Astros beat Island Ladies 3-0 (25-10, 25-7, 25-18) and Pentagon Red Hot Tomatoes beat Insurance Corporation 3-0 (25-16, 25-17, 25-18).

In the Ladies’ League, HLB Jackson Fox beat Jersey’s junior squad, Gunsite Juniors, 3-0 (25-21, 25-7, 25-12).

In the only mixed league game of the day, McSteam beat Usual Suspects 3-0 (25-23, 25-19, 25-18).
