States chief executive Bill Ogley revealed this morning that a member of staff working in the Island’s secure and residential services had been suspended, but would not reveal the name.

It is understood, however, that the employee is former Greenfields manager Joe Kennedy, who was accused of ‘bullying and persecuting’ sacked social worker Simon Bellwood at the tribunal this week.

The tribunal ended on Wednesday after the States dropped their case and offered to pay Mr Bellwood the full unfair dismissal settlement that he was seeking.
