Guernsey Live loss will not affect Jersey festival

DESPITE Guernsey Live losing more than £200,000, the festival organisers have promised that its more established Jersey sibling will be better than ever.

Only 3,500 of the 7,500 tickets were sold for the Guernsey festival held over the Bank Holiday weekend, leaving Positiv Productions out of pocket.

The festival featured bands Editors and The Enemy over Saturday and Sunday at Victoria Avenue in Guernsey.

But Postiv director Warren Holt said that they had expected to lose money and that the event, which was the biggest outdoor festival to be held in Guernsey, was bigger and better attended than the first Jersey Live.
