From Joan Gruchy.
WHEN I saw the picture (JEP, 22 May) of the so-called ‘beautiful and artistic figure’ by sculptor Antony Gormley, I just could not believe my eyes.
It reminded me of the poor Russian prisoners during the Occupation at the camp in St John who, towards the end of the war, looked like skeletons, just like that figure standing on the rocks, only they were much shorter.
How can anyone describe it as beautiful? The mind boggles!
