CHANNEL Islands champion Aaron Canavan and former CI champ Gary Britton will play in the World Snooker Series later this month – along with four top class pros, with three of them former world champions!
The Jersey duo, together with Guernsey’s Martyn Desperques and a leading amateur Polish cueist, will compete in the Jersey round of the tournament on 21 and 22 June at Fort Regent.
Televised
Professionals attending the event, which will be televised by Eurosport, are former World champions John Higgins MBE, Shaun Murphy and Ken Doherty and World championship runner-up Mark Selby.
Higgins visited the Island earlier this year to promote the event which is been organised by FSTC Sport Management and Eurosport Events.
