Go on, then, give us all the monstrosities

From B Kemp.

MY wife and I would like to thank those responsible for bringing the wheel to Jersey and erecting it right in front of Century Buildings apartments.

It’s just what the St Helier Waterfront and the residents around here needed. A whole summer of people gawping into our accommodation from less than 150 yards away.

What happened to the right of privacy? All this was, needless to say, without warning or consultation.

May I suggest that these thoughtful and far-sighted people spend more of our money and move the Steam Clock to this location?

Then most of the eyesores will be in one place. By that I mean that lovely hotel, the building site in front of it, the horrible bronze tree and, of course, the latest monstrosity, the wheel.

What are these idiots doing to our Island?

Century Buildings,

Esplanade,

St Helier.
