A perfect blueprint for future States strategy

A perfect blueprint for future States strategy

From Colin Parry.

ROGER Bale is spot on in his assessment ‘Achieving a balance’ (JEP, 26 July) which really ought to be used as a blueprint for future States strategy. Governments do not run businesses well, and the States are no exception.

Weak administration and public sector empire-building have led to an insatiable appetite for taxpayer’s money.

A radical culture change is needed, although it is doubtful that many in the current Assembly have the courage or will to carry it out, as some recent States decisions have clearly demonstrated.
