We sympathise – but it will be worth all the disruption when it’s finished

From Mick Morris,

Chairman, Tenants High Rise Panel.

On behalf of the panel, I would like to express our sympathy with the residents of the Cedars on the disruption caused by the recent fire. We hope that all the services have been fully restored.

This unfortunate coincidence must have considerably added to their discomfort at an already difficult time during their refurbishment.

I have been a resident of Le Marais for many years and experienced our own refurbishment difficulties. Like the Cedars, we had all the noise and disruption of a building site.

However, I can assure residents of the Cedars that this was all quickly forgotten and we noticed an immediate improvement the very first winter after refurbishment. Our homes were so much warmer.

The recladding of the building, which caused much of the disruption, has made an unbelievable difference, so it was worth it in the end.

We wish the residents of the Cedars well when they are finally able to enjoy the benefits of their newly refurbished homes.

Le Marais,

St Clement.
